Debut Poetry Collection

“Protesur” is the name of Jóan Pauli Dahl Jakobsen’s debut poetry collection.

The title translates to prosthesis in English, and the poems revolve around the theme of the loss and grief from when the author lost his father 15 years ago. When you lose your father everyone takes part in the grief in the beginning, then it stops and that is when real life with the loss and grief really begins for the ones left behind.

The poetry collection is in three parts and although it describes some very personal feelings it is relatable for everyone who has experienced loss.
