New YA Novel: "Kjarr"

New YA Novel: "Kjarr"

Today, Rakel Helmsdal's new book "Kjarr" will be published. "Kjarr" is a novel for young adults, and it is artistically groundbreaking both in its form and content. The story is catching and moving and is told through different narrative styles, texts and illustrations: story-telling, diary text, thoughts on paper, listings, sketches and illustrations tell the story about the main character, Laura.

A skeleton is found in a shrubbery. A broken childhood. A world, which you didn't know of but maybe belong in. A bone of a little finger in the pocket and a rucksack on the back. The story about Laura is a journey through memories, circuses with burning torches and a search for answers to crucial questions. The only witness: the diary .

Kathrina Skarðsá has made the unique illustrations and the novel is published by BFL.
