Crime novel published in Denmark

Jógvan Isaksen’s crime novel “Paranoia” has been published in Denmark. This is the first crime novel in which Isaksen includes both detectives, Hannis Martinson and William Hammer, who are otherwise main characters each in their own crime novel series.

An American woman is found drowned on a shore in the outskirts of Torshavn. The two detectives Hannis Martinson and William Hammer are carrying out their own investigations and have their own versions of how to solve this murder case. Soon other things related to the murder start happening and on top of that the corona pandemic hits the Faroe Islands. It seems that the great world powers are also involved and try to influence the case for their own good.

Jógvan Isaksen has written ten novels in the series about Hannis Martinson and six novels in the series about William Hammer.

The international tv series TROM shot in the Faroe Islands with Ulrich Thomsen, Maria Rich and Olaf Johannesen in the leading roles is based on books about Hannis Martinsson. The tv series is based on novels in the series and adapted by screenwriter Torfinnur Jákupsson.

”Paranoia” is published by Marselius. It was originally published in the Faroe Islands in 2020. Anya Mathilde Poulsen translated into Danish.
