"Djúpini" - New Poetry Collection

Vónbjørt Vang made her debut in 2011 with the poetry collection "Millumlendingar".  Her newly published collection "Djúpini" spans over 24 hours, from sunrise to sunset, and portrays the cycle in nature and life in general. The recurrent theme is decline and death, and the author describes how it is to be close to people who are growing old and dying, and how it is to embrace the fall. Despite the rather dispiriting theme, the author insists that decline and death also accommodate great light and beauty.  "Djúpini" is published by Eksil and the cover and illustrations are made by Lena Nicolajsen.
