Faroese authors in New York City
As a part of the Faroe Islands Culture Days - Fog Swept Islands, there have been three Faroese literary events in New York over the past few days.
Wednesday night 17/4 in Scandinavia House there were bilingual readings and artist talk. Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs, Kim Simonsen, Rannvá Holm Mortensen and Bárður Oskarsson together with translators Matthew Landrum and Randi Ward read from their work and had a panel discussion.
The Faroese authors received a very positive response from audience and publishers.
On Thursday 17/4 there was an event for publishers and and journalists with readings, presentations and a panel.
Aside from the events in Scandinavia House there was an event in Spectacle, an independent Theatre in Brooklyn with a screening of Skál followed by a poetry reading and discussion on Tuesday night 16/4.
