New Book by Rakel Helmsdal

"Reiggjan" (The Swing) is a new illustrated children's book which is both written and illustrated by Rakel Helmsdal. The story is about a pair of twins who have a strong wish to have a swing in the tree by the garden but the parents refuse. One day they take matters in to their own hands and build a swing, and as they enjoy the swing ride they go on an imaginary adventure around the world. But the next day the parents have taken down the swing and the question is why. The beautiful illustrations are made by using various techniques and several layers to create the three dimensional style. The book is published by BFL.
