New Short Story Collection

New Short Story Collection

Tíðarhylkið is a new short story collection by Ben Arabo. Tíðarhylkið is the Faroese word for time capsule and it is also the title of one of the short stories. Ben’s writing is sharp and light. The atmosphere in the stories is eerie and the topics revolve around the emptiness of life, greed and materialism, life of luxury, envy and self-righteousness. Society is portrayed as cold and cynical with only one agenda: to abuse anyone and anything. The stories are captivating and they all have a twist.

Ben Arabo was born in 1973 and grew up in Oyrareingir where he lives now. He has a degree in finance and has lived in the UK and Indonesia, where worked in the oil industry. Tíðarhylkið is his literary debut.

The short story collection is 121 pages and published by Sprotin.
