New in Danish: William Heinesen, billedmageren

This beautiful and unique coffee table book featuring Faroese author William Heinesen's visual art works was released in 2016 by Sprotin with text in Faroese and English by Bárður Jákupsson, artist and former head of the National Art Museum. In June this year Forlaget Torgard in Denmark published the book in Danish and it has been blessed with wonderful reception by Danish media. It gets 5 out of 6 stars in Nordjyske Stiftstidende, and Jyllands-Posten writes: "A beautiful andfully illustrated book written on a wave of enthusiasm and respect but also with the necessary critical sense" and the Danish Library Information Centre describes it as "an absolutely wonderful book, especially thanks to the presentation of Heinesen's curious and imaginative art work but also thanks to the quality of the book itself and the tasteful and nice lay-out".
