Steintór Rasmussen (b. 1960) is a teacher by profession. He is a well-known cultural entrepreneur and musician, and has written numerous songs and lyrics which have become part of the national music dna in the Faroe Islands. Steintór has written a number of crime mysteries and stories for children and young adults. In 2015 Steintór Rasmussen published his biography "Lívið er mítt listarverk" which gives an account of his great contribution to Faroese music life and cultural heritage in general. "Deyðin fer í bindiklubb" from 2016 is his first crime novel and the first in a series of five novels. "Hevndin úr havsins dýpi" was published in 2017 and the third and fourth novels in the crime series, "Horvna rósan" and "Seytjandi maðurin", were published in 2018. Last year the fifth and final novel, "Ein er tíðin at liva", was published. Steintór Rasmussen's most recent publication from late November 2019 is "Søgunámið", which is a collection of 16 short stories and about 100 illustrations by Allan Korsager Davidsen.
