New Early Reader books
“Heimurin hjá Rosu” (Rosa’s World) 1 and 2 are new Early Reader books written by Lydia Didriksen.
In the first book we meet Rosa the cat and all the other animals in the neighbourhood. Everyone has to watch out, everyone except for Rosa … In the second book Rosa is looking for a mouse to eat.
These early reader books have a simple vocabulary and repetitive language as well as engaging, easy-to-follow storylines and relatable and recognizable characters.
Didriksen has previously written several short stories and children’s books. She has a passion for bringing a love of reading into children’s lives and a background as a teacher and school librarian.
Visual artist Jón Sonni Jensen made the illustrations and the books are published by BFL and Nám.
