New in Germany
Steintór Rasmussen’s crime novel “The seventeenth man” is now published in German.
The crime novel is about challenges in the Faroese society. When a newly elected member of parliament dies in a mysterious traffic accident people are shocked and the country is in a state of chaos. The fateful crime novel portrays envy among people, childhood neglect and how political scheming can bring up hatred and rage in people.
The novel has now been published in Germany by the Publishing House Achter Verlag, Martin Schürholz has translated from Faroese into German.
The Faroese title of the book is “Seytjandi maðurin” and it was originally published in 2018.
