New Poetry Collection: "Fragmentir"
The poetry collection "Fragmentir" by Daniella Andreasen was published last year as an e-book, but in early May this year, the collection was published in printed format. Daniella Andreasen made her debut in 2011 with the poetry collection "Dilemma", and this is her second poetry collection.
In a review, author and professor Jógvan Isaksen says that the strength in Daniella's poems is her clever combination of blunt and ruthless writing with poetic and intuitive style. Daniella Andreasen, says Jógvan Isaksen, reminds him of the American poet Charles Bukowski whose poems were agressive, had brutal imagery but, at the same time, had a poetic tone and gallows humour. Another common feature is the use of pubs in the company of drunks and whores as settings for the poems.
The poetry collection "Fragmentir" published by Forlagið Eksil was given five out of six possible stars in another review in the newspaper, Sosialurin, on 4 June.
