13 translators of Faroese literature in Tórshavn
This week, FarLit organized a three-day seminar in Tórshavn for translators from Faroese into various languages. The event featured lectures and meetings with Faroese authors. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to engage in cultural and literary outings, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of the Faroese landscape and its literary heritage.
Multilingual poetry reading
Tonight, Saturday 24 August at 8 PM in Reinsaríið, Tórshavn the translators will do a multilingual reading together with poet Vónbjørt Vang. Vónbjørt will read from her collection Svørt Orkidé and the translators will read their translations in their respective languages.
