Bob in Danish

Bob in Danish

The third book in Bárður Oskarsson’s award winning series of picture books about Hilbert the dog and Bob the rabbit is now published in Denmark. Hilbert and Bob are known from The Tree (2017) and Hilbert (2020).

In this book Bob has lost the carrot, that he just carefully picked out in the supermarket. Hilbert doesn’t find it strange at all to lose a carrot, he loses stuff all the time.

Kathrina Skarðsá translated Bob into Danish and the book is published Vild Maskine.

Bárður Oskarsson has a minimalist and humorous style, that appeals to both childrens and adults. He is the most translator Faroese author and his books have been translated into over 17 languages. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his children’s books including the 2019 Nordic Council Children’s and Young People’s Literature Prize.
