"Wilbert" on the IBBYs Honour List 2018
The children's book "Wilbert" by Bárður Oskarsson was published in the Faroe Islands in 2016 by BFL, and has now entered the IBBYs Honour List 2018. It has been released in the US/Canada and Denmark late last year. "Wilbert" got at really good review and five out of six stars in the Danish newspaper Politiken. The story is about Wilbert and a mouse playing hide and seek. A crocodile wants to help the mouse, but it turns out to be harder than the crocodile had imagined. The story toys with the question whether we always see - or want to see - things as they are.
