New collection of short stories

New collection of short stories

Katrin Ottarsdóttir's latest book, 7 Søgur (7 Stories), is a collection of short stories that explores the delicate boundary between reality and imagination. Each story delves into a world where everyday life takes on an eerie twist, revealing hidden motives and unspoken tensions. The characters are all grappling with a sense of entrapment, longing to escape from stifling relationships, societal pressures, or their own deteriorating bodies. The stories portray refined devilry, that is revealed by accident.

Behind every action lies a deeper motivation, and the real power often resides in what remains unspoken.

Katrin Ottarsdóttir is an author and film director. 7 Søgur is her 7th book. She has previously published two poetry collections, two short story collections and two novels. Katrin has recieved M.A. Jakobsens literature award twice. Once in 2013 and again in 2023. Several of her books have been translated to other languages.

7 stories is published by Sprotin.
