New in Greece

The debut poetry collection "Tann lítli drongurin og beinagrindin" by Beinir Bergsson was published in 2017 by Sprotin and in 2018 it was rewarded the Faroese EBBA-Award. Last year it was translated and published in Iceland and now the collection has been published in Greece by Bakchikon publications.

"We all fight our battles and we all feel the need to see in others the reflection of ourselves. Through my work, I'm trying to get out what's inside me. I may not make any effort to make you put you in my position, but I want my words to trigger the feeling that will make you see the world through my own eyes. Through words I try to shed light on the broken pieces of an identity which comes to the surface during the night" says Beinir about his poetry collection.

Beinir Bergsson is currently working on his second poetry collection and is also preparing the Anthology of young Faroese poets for the European book series of Bakchikon publications.
