New Children's Book

Oyggin hjá teimum horvnu (The island of the lost) is a new novel for children age 10-12. It is the debut of Faroese/Danish author Agnete Hentze Pitchotka.

13-year-old Haraldur lives on an island where everyone works at sea. When his grandfather's boat disappears in a storm, Haraldur must find him. A strange legend and a young seal are the only clues. The seal, often pursued by Haraldur, steers toward the island...

Oyggin hjá teimum horvnu is published by BFL. Cover and illustrations are by Kathrina Skarðsá and Ingun Hentze translated the manuscript from Danish to Faroese.
